We can retrofit secondary double glazing to most styles of existing aluminium windows & doors and it’s cheaper than traditional double glazing & provides better soundproofing & thermal benefits (reduced heat loss & transference).

Retrofitting double glazing is cheaper

Quite simply, as we add a new window on the inside of your existing window or door, you only pay for one additional pane of glass. This typically results in savings of over 30% as compared to completely replacing the existing window or door and fitting completely new double glazed aluminium windows or doors.

Better soundproofing

The key advantage of secondary double glazing windows & doors in relation to soundproofing comes from the larger gap between the two panes of glass which results from our approach. A larger air gap means better soundproofing. (See Reduce Noise for more information & a video which demonstrates the difference)

Improved thermal benefits & reduced drafts

Our retrofitted double glazing is completely sealed with the window frame, blocking air flow and thus heat loss. With traditional double glazed windows or doors where a single unit is installed, there can still oftentimes be a gap between the unit and the frame allowing drafts & heat transference. Stop condensation

Do you have condensation forming on your glass windows &/or doors? Left untreated this could cause damage & result in you needing to replace your frames. Secondary double glazing is the best & most cost effective means to stop condensation forming.
